6th Liquid Sound Festival. 9th-11th November 2007, An underwater and ‘overwater’ concert, Bathe and dream in sound, light and the stars.
Three locations, day and night
Toskana Therme Bad Sulza Toskana Therme Bad Schandau Zeiss-Planetarium Jena
For the 6th time in succession and as unique as ever. The International Liquid Sound Festival presents waterworlds for all the senses, round the clock, day and night. Multimedia presentations on dry land and performances in the water, in sound, light and stars – this year for the first time in co-operation with the Zeiss-Planetarium in Jena. With one ticket you can visit all three festival locations: a delight for lovers of music and bathing from near and far – and deep nights are free!

Bathing in the Gesamtkunstwerk Ever since the New York Times recounted their visit to the “water-filled concert halls”, the Toskana Therme thermal baths in Bad Sulza and Bad Schandau and the Liquid Sound concept have acquired international fame. And since the installation of the laser-dome projection in the Zeiss-Planetarium in Jena, visitors have been enthralled by the projections of outer space. A perfect opportunity to celebrate underwater worlds and outer space in a joint festival. The sixth Liquid Sound Festival invites its visitors to immerse themselves in a Gesamtkunstwerk of sound and performance, underwater and under the stars.

“Fließende Sinne – Flowing Senses” is an invitation to learn more about the manifold interactions between sound, light, healing and water. Bathing in Light and Music with Liquid Sound® – which originates from Bad Sulza – has opened up many new perspectives which themselves are worthy of greater consideration. The event provides an open forum for discussing how light and sound, on their own and in combination, affect our sense of well-being, our senses and health as well as the aesthetic opportunities they offer. At the same time, the ‘dry’ lectures are an introduction to the water-borne festival programme and offer guests the opportunity to get to know the artists, practitioners and speakers themselves.
