4th Liquid Sound Festival 25th-27th November 2005
Day and Night Underwater art for ears and eyes

For the fourth time in succession, the international Liquid Sound Festival took place from the 25th - 27th November 2005. The festival of sound and light masters of the waters transformed bathing into a veritable liquid total experience of sound, light and water, day and night, in parallel in both the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza and the Toskana Therme Bad Schandau. The multimedia day-and-night cultural underwater programme for ears and eyes attracted guests from all over the world. In addition to loyal festival-friends, delegates attending the "British International Spa Association" (BISA) annual conference in Bad Sulza also took part. What better way to demonstrate and experience the "New Spa Horizons" talked about in the conference sessions?

The Thueringer-Allgemeine newspaper wrote (29.11) "Liquid Totality. International public attend the Liquid Sound Festival. Not only were the international guests pleasantly surprised by the musical programme on offer. With more than a dozen musical acts spread over two days and numerous visual attractions in and on the water, the festival of light and sound artists provided both entertainment and relaxation at once. "What began as an experiment has become a firm tradition", explained artistic director Micky Remann. Simultaneously 259 km away in the Toskana Therme Bad Schandau, an estimated 8000 guests in bikini and bathing trunks took part in the largest underwater weekend party of the region. Among the highlights were Falk Fleischer’s exotic underwater journeys in Thuringia’s underwater worlds and visitors were once again enthused by Mark Fischer’s whale-song. With its blend of artistic activity and relaxed bathing, the Toskana Therme has established itself as pioneer in the international spa world, according to Remann."

A concert hall full of water
Since its opening in 1999, the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza has achieved international acclaim with an ambitious programme of music and cultural events lending it the quality of a "water-filled concert hall". In autumn 2004 the Toskana Therme Bad Schandau also opened its doors and waters to the public.
Liquid Sound©, developed in Bad Sulza and registered as an EXPO 2000 worldwide project, enables one to physically experience the astonishing aural qualities of water. Live concerts and festivals have lead to the development of a genre in its own right: underwater music. During the festivals, both concert halls share and exchange the programme of music and events: music from Bad Sulza is transmitted live to Bad Schandau, light and video shows from Bad Schandau appear projected on the wall in Bad Sulza.
